A Little about the Artist

I was born in 1989 in British Columbia, Canada.

Since I can remember, I have always had an intense interest in drawing and painting. My inspiration to become an artist came from my Grandfather, who was a talented artist himself. One day my Grandparents gave me an art set for a gift. That was it!!! I used it all the time and took it everywhere I could. My journey had begun!

Throughout high school and into University I focused more towards art as I always loved creating. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2014, with many hard years of effort. During my studies at University, I explored every medium of art possible and loved them all! I noticed in all of my courses they never really taught me painting techniques; they focused more about the ideas behind the art and the importance of how it would make the audience feel and react. My techniques came from many years of practice.

After graduating, my path took me to other employment for my livelihood. It was when I became a mom and was able to focus more on painting; I was finally able to establish Celina Forbes Art

My favorite things to paint are Superheroes, Villains and any other type of Fan Art, and lets not forget villains… . I love unique skin textures ( like the jokers face makeup) and am always willing to try different things.

I am currently working on a Bone Series with horns and skeleton features; and i’m super excited about it. I’ve always had a soft side for horns. There’s something mysterious and cool about them that’s so attractive.

I always have been attracted to making something perfect. and I will always be practicing to improve with every painting. I love to look back at painting and say “wow I made that “ that’s when I Know its finished . :)

I work mostly with Acrylic paint and love to use as many colours as I can in my paintings. Each piece is very special to me. I do offer some originals for sale through Celina Forbes Art and I accept custom commissions when commission are open
